Sie nutzen die Dunkelheit, um die Straßen zurückzuerobern und zögern nicht, zur Verteidigung ihre Reißzähne einzusetzen. Ein wunderschöner Stop-Motion-Film, der mehr ist, als er anfangs zu sein scheint, und zum Nachdenken anregt.

White streetlamp light, midnight-black sidewalks—and two female dogs. They move in the darkness to reclaim the streets and don't hesitate to use their fangs for defense. A beautiful stop-motion film that is more than it initially appears to be, providing food for thought.

Maria Antonia ist Piratin – in einer Welt, in der alle Meere eins sind, Wellen aus Pixeln bestehen und Meerschaum „click“ macht, und sich die eigene Reflexion im Wasser spiegelt. In einer experimentellen Montage aus Selfies, Screenshots und Icons verschiebt A Teardrop for Every Pixel die Wahrnehmung digitaler Welten. Das Internet als Raum voller Möglichkeiten – zumindest für Pirat*innen.

Maria Antonia is a pirate—in a world in which all seas are one, waves are made of pixels and sea foam makes “click” noises; in which one’s own reflection is mirrored in the water. In an experimental montage of selfies, screenshots and icons, A Teardrop for Every Pixel shifts the perception of digital worlds. The internet appears a space full of possibilities—at least for pirates.

Under the Debris drückt das Gefühl aus, weit weg von geliebten Menschen zu sein, die sich nicht mehr in einer sicheren Umgebung befinden. Am 6. Februar 2023 erschüttert ein Erdbeben weite Teile im Südosten der Türkei und im Norden Syriens. Der Experimentalfilm porträtiert mit wenigen Bildern ein angsteinflößendes Szenario, in dem eine junge Frau in Ungewissheit und Panik gerät, als sie von der Naturkatastrophe erfährt.

Under the Debris expresses the feeling of being far away from loved ones who are no longer in a safe environment. On February 6, 2023, an earthquake struck large parts of south-eastern Turkey and northern Syria. The experimental film portrays a terrifying scenario with just a few images, in which a young woman is plunged into uncertainty and panic when she hears about the natural disaster.

Eine Werbemoderatorin präsentiert in dieser Mockumentary den Traum vom luxuriösen Eigenheim und ändert dabei Stück für Stück ihr Skript. Der Film provoziert zum Nachdenken und versucht mit Humor, die Lebensrealitäten der Bewohner*innen Kapstadts darzustellen.

The Cape Town Royalty Programme has specialized in helping wealthy Europeans to buy their new home. In this mockumentary, an ad presenter showcases the dream of owning a luxurious home, changing the script bit by bit in the process. The film is thought-provoking and uses sarcastic humor to bring viewers closer to the reality of life in Cape Town.

Zur “blauen Stunde” schwimmen wir in diesem poetischen Experimentalfilm durch die nächtlichen Straßen Wiens. Orte, die untertags ganz anders aussehen, verwandeln sich zu dieser Zeit in ein Meer aus Licht und Reflexion. Verbunden durch die gleichen Wege, ist doch jedes Fahrzeug für sich allein.

During the “blue hour”, we swim through the streets of Vienna by night. In this poetic experimental film, places that look completely different during the day transform into a sea of light and reflection. Connected in the crowd by the same paths, yet each vehicle is on its own.
